For customers in the USA we have a facility to be paid in dollars. The exchange rate we use is bank buys on the Royal Bank of Scotland site http://www.rbs.co.uk/personal/travel/g1/money/exchange-rates.ashx Contact Cynthia Cathcart if you would like further explanation.
For all other customers payment is in pounds stirling. We can accept payment by cheque or by bank transfer.
We have shipped harps all over the world. We use custom-made boxes and the instruments are always insured. An estimate of shipping cost can be obtained before ordering but cost can change due to fuel surcharges by the time the harp is ready. It is our practice to invoice customers when their harp is strung so that full payment for the harp and shipping can be received by us before the harp is sent.
It is best of course if you can visit us at Orchard House and it is advisable to phone in advance to be sure that someone is available to assist you. You will find us on the road from Dingwall to Strathpeffer just before you reach Strathpeffer village. There is no sign as such on the road but the Council have very helpfully put a sign just opposite the Castle Leod drive entrance. It is the 30 mph warning sign with the 3 bars. The driveway is on the right opposite this sign and perhaps a few meters before it. There are stone pillars with iron gates and a small lodge with little windows.
Most of our harps are made to order but we may have harps in stock as well as instruments to try.
