The Kilcoy is the smallest of our wire strung clarsachs.

The  historically authentic model is made entirely of sycamore. It has a hollowed-out soundbox, brass string shoes, an exterior integral string band, and a chamfered arm.

Kilcoy Standard

Like the Kilcoy Deluxe the Standard is made from Sycamore with an Oak backboard.  It has a hollowed-out soundbox, a key feature of the original instruments, is strung with brass and has brass string shoes.  It is available with either a Georgian or a Jacobean finish.

Strings:  19 brass

Thinking about a different finish?

Here are two Deluxe Kilcoys.  The one on the right is Jocobean finish and the one on the left is Georgian finish.  Both are made of Sycamore wood.  There will of course always be variation in the finish because of the nature of the wood grain.
